1. What this site is
cornersonmain.ca (the Site) is an independent editorial guide to condo living and neighbourhoods in Ottawa, Ontario. It is published by Capital Living (we, us). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
We are not a real estate brokerage, a developer, a mortgage lender or a law firm, and we do not list, sell or market properties. Nothing on the Site is an offer, a solicitation or professional advice.
2. Information, not advice
Neighbourhood descriptions, price bands, transit notes and buying steps are general information based on public sources and our own research. They can be out of date or incomplete, and markets, rules and rebates change. Before you make a decision, confirm the details with a licensed real estate professional, a lawyer and your lender.
Price bands compare neighbourhoods with each other and are not valuations of any property.
3. Forms and replies
The only way to reach us is through the forms on the home page, the neighbourhoods directory and the contact page. We reply by email, normally within one business day. A reply is editorial correspondence, not advice, and does not create a client relationship.
4. Privacy and your data
Through our forms we collect only what you type: your name, email address, the topic or neighbourhood you chose and your message. We use it to reply, to send the checklist you requested and to improve the guide. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with brokerages, developers or lenders.
We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may ask us to show, correct or delete what we hold about you by sending a request through the contact form; we act on it within 30 days. Emails we send you include a way to stop further messages, as required by Canada's anti-spam legislation.
5. Cookies and third parties
The Site sets no advertising cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may process technical data about your connection under its own policy. We may use aggregated, anonymous visit statistics to see which parts of the guide are read.
6. Copyright
Text, design, images and the Capital Living mark belong to us. You may quote short passages with a link to cornersonmain.ca. Reproducing pages, images or the neighbourhood data set without written permission is not allowed.
7. Corrections
If something about a neighbourhood, a building type or a rule is wrong or has changed, tell us through the contact form. We check and update the guide regularly and note the date at the top of this page.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Ontario law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on the Site, including decisions to buy, rent, sell or invest. The Site is provided as is, without warranties of accuracy or availability.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
